1. How do I download the application?
Ordering the new Cricinfo Live application for your mobile phone is very straightforward:
– First of all, check that your phone is compatible with Cricinfo Live and is correctly set up. Cricinfo Live will only work with the devices listed on the main page. Also see below for a list of handsets compatible with Cricinfo Live.
– Send an SMS message to 80250 with the keyword "ashes" in the message text. Please use exactly this word – the text is also case sensitive.
– In response, you will receive a confirmation text message. View the message, and click on the link within the text message to start downloading your application automatically. The download may take 3-4 minutes depending on your phone and network connection.
Note: never click "interrupt" during the download! When the download is completed, you will automatically be asked to install the application.
(Please note that the application download is performed using the WAP settings on your mobile phone).

2. Will it work on my handset?
The application is designed to work only on more recent handsets.
The phones currently supported are:
– Nokia 3230, 6260, 7610, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6620, 6600, N70, N90
– Panasonic X700, Panasonic X800
– SonyEricsson P900, P910

3. Will it work on my network?
The application will work on any of the big four UK networks, i.e. – Orange
– O2
– T-Mobile
– Vodafone
Please note the Cricinfo Live will not work on the Virgin Mobile network.

4. I am not in the UK. Can I still use the application?
The application can be downloaded only by subscribers to the networks named in point 3 above, or overseas subscribers roaming on these networks in the UK. Once downloaded, the application will work in all worldwide territories, which support GPRS. Please use the application with caution if you are roaming, as this will attract additional charges (see point 5). Check with your network provider for more information on GPRS data charges.

5. How much will it cost?
The cost to download the Cricinfo Live application is £3.00 plus the GPRS data charge (see below). Before downloading, please check that your phone is compatible (see list of handsets in point 2) and is correctly set up to use WAP/GRPS services. Form more information please contact your Network provider. Please note that the application download is performed using the WAP settings on your mobile phone. There might be a small additional fee (for the data transmission) made by your network operator when the application is downloaded. Please consult with your network operator to find out the applicable charges for using WAP on your network. There are some limited GPRS data charges made by your network operator whilst you are checking scores using Cricinfo Live. For guidance, using Cricinfo Live to check for the latest score on average 10 times each day over a full 5 day Test match will cost between 12p and 20p depending on your price plan.

6. How much space will it use on my phone?
The application uses about 256KB of space.

7. I have gone through the download process but there’s nothing on my phone.
If this has happened, switch your phone off for a few seconds, and then switch it back on. When the phone has fully restarted, go to your inbox; find the text message from Cricinfo Live and click on the link in the text so as to attempt to download the application again. You can also contact us for help. Before you call, please make sure you have the following details to hand:

8. I ordered the application, but I Haven't received anything yet.
What do I do? When you ordered your application, you should have received an SMS on your mobile phone within a couple of minutes. There may sometimes be delays if your network is busy, but if you still haven't received anything after 24 hours then contact us and let us know the following information: – The make and model of your phone
– The telephone number the mobile phone
– The network operator you're connected to
– The time the application was ordered

9. I have the application on my phone but I can’t seem to connect to anything?
If your application is not receiving content it could be because:
1) Your phone number wasn’t correctly entered in the application start-up screen, please go to the setting screen to re-enter your mobile number. If you provide us with an incorrect number you won’t be able to receive update content from the service
2) Your network is very busy

10. My application download didn't complete successfully - what do I do?
If you have any trouble while downloading your application, switch your phone off for a few seconds, and then switch it back on. When the phone has fully restarted, go to your inbox; find the text message from Cricinfo Live and click on the link in the text so as to attempt to download the application again If it still doesn’t download successfully, it may be because:
a) “WAP Push” is deactivated on your phone; on some phones, this is the default setting. If WAP-Push is deactivated, you won’t be able to receive any download links. Please consult your mobile phone handset manual to enable WAP Push.
b) The WAP settings on your phone aren’t correct. Please ask your Network provider how to adjust your settings to use WAP/GPRS services. You can also contact us for help. Before you call, please make sure you have the following details to hand:

– The time the application was ordered

11. What happens after the Ashes series is over?
You may want to retain the application to follow future Test series. We will send you a free reminder to let you know when such services become available.

13. What do I do with the bookmark/download link I received?
After you placed your order, Cricinfo sent you an SMS message. Please open this message and scroll down to the download link. By clicking on the link, you will be immediately connected to Cricinfo and the download will start automatically. Note: never click "interrupt" during the download! When the download is completed, you will automatically be asked to install the application. When the application is downloaded successfully and functioning correctly, you can safely discard the SMS message.

14. What is GPRS?
The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a non voice value added service that allows information to be sent and received across a mobile telephone network. By allowing information to be transmitted more immediately and efficiently across the mobile network, GPRS is a relatively less costly mobile data service compared to SMS and other data services over mobile telephone networks.

15. What is WAP?
WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and is an industry standard for the development of data applications and services over wireless communications networks.
