Match 4: Sri Lanka v UAE July 17, 2004

  • The 29-run stand between Avishka Gunawardene and Upul Chandana is now Sri Lanka's highest 7th wicket stand at Dambulla. Sri Lanka's previous best 7th wicket partnership was 14 runs, between Dharmasena and Jayawardene.

  • The 8th wicket partnership of 24 runs in the Sri Lankan innings, between Upul Chandana and Nuwan Zoysa, is now Sri Lanka's best 8th wicket partnership at Dambulla.
  • Zoysa and Malinga rewrote the record books with a 10th wicket stand of 17-runs, which is now Sri Lanka's best 10th wicket partnership at Dambulla.
  • UAE's 123 is now the lowest total that the team has been bowled out for.
  • Upul Chandana's 4 for 22 is now his best bowling effort in One Day Internationals. It bettered his previous best of 4 for 31 (V Zim, 1997-98, Colombo).
