Mahendra Singh Dhoni Dhoni helps set challenging target

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who made 55, played a captain's innings to lead India out of a hole, after they were 166 for 6 at tea. M Vijay and Virender Sehwag provided India the ideal start, adding 116 for the first wicket, but a collapse ensued in the post-lunch session when India lost six wickets for 50 runs. Dhoni, however, played his natural game, and added an invaluable 108 for the seventh wicket with Harbhajan Singh, who made 52, to wrest the initiative from Australia and help India set them a challenging target of 382. Dhoni kept the score ticking and did not restrain himself despite his side having lost six wickets. India were bowled out for 295, but not after denting Australia's hopes of leveling the series by chasing a score significantly lower than the one they have been set.
