1st Test: Pakistan v India, 28 Mar-Apr 01 2004

Rumours that Yousuf Youhana had specifically engineered the placid pitch at Multan had already started floating about by the time the fourth day started, so Youhana ≠ in poor form ≠ shot back as he knew best ≠ with the bat. No other batsman in Pakistanís second innings crossed 24, yet Youhana made 112 out of his teamís 216 runs. Forseeing himself stuck with a crumbly tail, he waded into the Indian bowling even as he neared three figures, affirming for all those who doubted that he was still Pakistanís best batsman after Inzamam-ul-Haq.
