Virender Sehwag
India

Virender Sehwag

Sehwag becomes fastest Indian centurion in ODIs. Swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag eclipsed Mohammad Azharuddin to become the fastest Indian to score a hundred in an ODI when he hit a 60-ball 103 against New Zealand in the fourth one-dayer in March 2009.At an individual score of 97, Sehwag danced down the pitch and plundered a Daniel Vettori delivery over his head to bring up his hundred in the 18th over of the rain-truncated match to better Azharuddin by two balls. Sehwag had earlier smashed a 69-ball century against the Kiwis in Colombo in 2001.The Indian now has the seventh fastest hundred in ODI history, with Pakistan's Shahid Afridi topping the chart with his 37-ball 102 against Sri Lanka in Nairobi in 1996.

Ishant Sharma
India

Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma has been focusing on becoming a Fast bowler rather than Medium Pacer. He bowled a 149.5 km/h delivery versus Australia in Melbourne on February 10, 2008. At that time he was just 0.2 km/h short of fastest ball ever bowled by Indian. The record holder was Ashish Nehra who bowled at 149.7 km/h versus Zimbabwe at World Cup 2003. However, Ishant was successful in breaking the record just a week after he got close to it, versus Australia in Melbourne on February 17, 2008. His fastest ball was 153.0 km/h and he constantly clocked around that 152 km/h mark. Also, in the process, he became the first Indian to bowl over 150 km/h.

EAS Prasanna
India

EAS Prasanna

EAS Prasanna is the fastest Indian bowler to 100 Test wickets (20 matches). As Venkat's great off-spin rival in the 1960s and 1970s, Prasanna would have appeared in more than his 49 Tests and taken more than 189 wickets had he played in another era.He was, though, not without many moments of success, notably when he bowled to Englishmen, against whom he made his debut in 1961/62.Remarkably durable, he was his country's leading bowler when England toured India in 1976/77.He saved his best for New Zealand, however, with match figures of 8 for 88 and 8 for 76 in Wellington and Auckland in 1969/70.And again in Auckland six years later he took 8 for 76 in New Zealand's first innings (the best by any bowler at the ground) and 11 for 140 in the match. No Indian bowler has managed better figures in New Zealand.
