Tanvir floors Mumbai
Rajasthan Royals had kept Mumbai quiet, but the visitors were threatening to
build some momentum through Abhishek Nayar. In came Sohail Tanvir in the
17th over, and he struck four times in two overs. Had it not been for Yogesh
Takawale, Mumbai would have finished on a rather poor score.
Tendulkar catches Watson
Shane Watson has been Rajasthan's most prized asset in the tournament, and
as long as he was at the crease, Rajasthan Royals would have been confident
of chasing down the target. He miscued one high in the direction of mid-on,
and Sachin Tendulkar rushed from midwicket towards towards mid-on and got
himself under the ball just in the nick of time.
It came down to three off the final ball, and Dilhara Fernando bowled a
wide. Two off one, and Fernando failed to field the ball as Niraj Patel
mistimed a pull. The ball went towards mid-on, and the batsmen ran for the
second. Sanath Jayasuriya was waiting at the bowler's end to effect the
run-out and force a tie, but he couldn't hold on to the ball, and Mumbai
once again faltered at the final hurdle.
