E.W. (Jim) Swanton asks us to take soundings among our membership about the garish gear worn in the Sunday League matches. This is one of those topics which seems to arouse strong feelings one way or the other.

What does YOUR CLUB think? Should they go back to whites or should the trend be encouraged - even to the ultimate that all cricketers at all levels MIGHT in the end be wearing purple, green, orange....?

Would YOUR CLUB wear such colours if it brought some useful sponsorship in?

Please write in to the General Secretary with your views. There are prizes of a Jim Swanton book and a signed bat for the two best contributions received by 31st December 1998.

Send entries to: Reg Hughes, 2 Leyton Cottages, Stone cum Ebony, Tenterden, TN30 7JA.
