Hi. I wonder if anyone there can help me. I'm researching and writing the history of the Northern District Cricket Club which competes in the Sydney grade competition and am looking for information on Nick Knight who played one season for the club in 1991/92. Can anyone tell me a bit about his early cricket, ie. what school he attended, early rep. cricket, etc. Any help much appreciated. Alistair Kennedy

I am very pleased with Michael powell, since his arrival to warwickshire he has continued to score runs,he seems to be one of the most consistent openers in the country,Come on England select this fellow who can certainly bat as he has shown over 18 months he has great temperant which is needed in internation cicket

Can any one tell me if Warwickshires Ian Bell is doing well for the second team as i cannot find any scorecards or reports on the second team games. i think he is a very good prospect for Warwickshire 1st team and play for England in the future. I will be very interested in watching Ian play for the the under 19 on sky on the 29,30 July.

I am very impressed with Warwickshires opener Michael Powell, since his arrival at Warwickshire he has scored lots of runs for them consistenly and has a sound temperant.i wonder if the England management are watching he definitely has the class to play for England

For those who replied back concerning the captaincy of Warwickshire, I still believe Nick knight would do much better as he has much greater experience then Neil smith who has only represented England on two occassions. although last year knight captain warwickshire briefly and loss most of the matches that was down to the players who took no responsibility and played very poorly. This time i say he will make a great captain especially now the best coach around in BOB woolmer is back and take warwickshire back to winning trophies.

a message to all those calling for neil smith to be replaced by nick knight, remember last year, smith injured, knight stands in and warwickshire lose every game and end up in division 2 in both leagues.

I'd rather be a bear than a pear. While the pears fall away congrats to the bears for a super result against a very useful Derbyshire. Ashley Giles batted brilliantly and Don the 2nd proved his worth once more. The sooner Mr woolmer is asked to take the reigns at Lords the quicker England will regain the ashes. For those who arent aware Mr Woolmer, when a replacement was needed for Bumble requested another time to attend his interview due to South African duties. He was refused. I'm proud to be English but I'm not a Londoner, and I still await for the achievements of Warwickshires recent sides to be recognised.

I hope England stick with Nick Knight preferably as opener he's wasted at no.6 they can't drop him. Every Batsman struggled and he was the best player at edgbaston in the 1st test.
