ADMINISTRATION
[ 1998-99 Chief Executive's Report ]

A committed, stable and dedicated staff is vital in an industry which inevitably attracts widespread public and media attention. In this regard we are very fortunate at New Zealand Cricket to have a particularly competent and hard-working staff who consistently bring credit to the organisation.

It is a privilege to lead this administration which remains so focused on addressing the issues and making a difference wherever possible. Progress has continued at some pace and the anticipated respite still seems some way off.

Few Chief Executives could be better served by having a more supportive Board or Board Chairman. Sir John Anderson leads New Zealand Cricket home and abroad with distinction, bringing tremendous reflected credit to the Board and cricket in general.

The implementation of the much awaited national development programme is a major focus in the months ahead, just one of the very many challenges still confronting this administration.
