Why is registration now compulsory?
Users in the USA and Canada are extremely important for Cricinfo. In no other part of the world does
Cricinfo have such a large audience for our most advanced products, such as live video streaming. In

products to meet the needs of this audience, we need get to know our users better. By having a complete
picture of the North American audience and being able to communicate with them, we can tailor our
services accordingly. We hope that the benefits of this brief registration process will massively
outweigh the slight inconvenience of registering with us.
