Antigua is one of the Caribbean's smallest islands (the population is only around 70,000) but there is no doubting the local inhabitants' passion for cricket, with the annual Test at the Antigua Recreation Ground the highlight of the calendar.
The ARG is the main ground and it is possible for touring sides to arrange games there. The Police ground is the next best, while Falmouth is the most beautiful venue, playing as they do against the play against the backdrop of the turquoise waters of English Harbour
Most games will be against representative club or school sides, but clubs should be able to provide opposition on Sundays.
Antigua's size means that nightlife is limited, but what there is more than makes up for that. The much-repeated statistic that the island has 365 beaches - one for every day of the year - means the daytime is catered for, and there is plenty to offer in terms of watersports. .
Antigua is a great choice in that it is away from the usual destinations in the region and offers plenty for families as well as the club player, and is sure to be popular with both.
